I very much like the fourth logo you created here. I think to make it even stronger you could certainly add the text you had as part of this sketch. I like the simplicity of the lines that work together to make a very recognizable image. I could easily picture this as a working logo.
I'm just a little confused which one was the final one, but I really like this one at the bottom, (that you posted at 3:14). I agree the current one seems cliche, but again, I really like stylized images and think this works. Also, even though it's a little light, I like the old-timey one you spelled out too!
